Fred Wesley and The New JBs BIO
Fred Wesley and The New JBs are a renowned ensemble within the JAZZ / BLUES genre, celebrated for their dynamic performances and rich musical history. Fred Wesley, as a trombonist, composer, and bandleader, has contributed significantly to the development of funk music, particularly during his time with the legendary James Brown. The New JBs, stemming from the iconic band that originally backed Brown, continue to carry forward their legacy with a blend of energetic performances and soulful music.
Their past performances in San Francisco have always been a highlight for fans, drawing large crowds and receiving positive reviews for their engaging live shows. Although the band has not performed at a specific venue in the city recently, their events tend to cultivate an atmosphere celebrating the roots of funk and jazz, complemented by the vibrant culture of San Francisco.

Venue and Seating Information
Fans have consistently praised the venues in San Francisco for their rich history and excellent acoustics. Venues hosting Fred Wesley and The New JBs events are lauded for creating an intimate setting that enhances the live music experience. Many attendees particularly recommend the front sections where the sound quality and sightlines are optimal.
Conversely, some fans have expressed concerns about the upper-level seating arrangements, which they believe can limit the experience due to distance from the stage. While these sections do provide a wider view of the performance, they lack the immersive experience of being closer to the action.
Parking Information

- Lot 243 - 243 Spear St

- Embarcadero Center Garage - 1 Embarcadero Center
Lot 243, located at 243 Spear St, is frequently highlighted as the best parking option due to its proximity to the main venues and reasonable pricing, which is typically around $15–$25 for event nights.
